Last week I was able to make it to see Brody’s school musical that the 3rd and 4th graders put on. It was ‘Seussical The Musical’, and while I haven’t seen the Broadway version of ‘Seussical’, from what I’ve been able to gather, this is pretty much the same thing.
For those who are unaware of the musical, Seussical takes inspiration from many different Dr. Seuss stories, but primarily focuses on the ‘Horton Hears a Who’ story. Brody, along with two of his classmates, opened the show by playing three different songs on their recorders. In the videos below, Brody is the one on the left.
Once the opening trio had finished their songs, the musical began, Brody joined the chorus of kids in the back, all wearing their “Thing 1” and “Thing 2” shirts. Brody did a great job, and I had fun watching the entire thing. Oh, and the girl who played Horton knocked it out of the park with her performance as an elephant.
Yes they all did a Great Job! Brody is really good on the recorder, he’s very musically inclined. He’s the only one of the three, that moved to the beat and tapped his foot. It was a fun play and very enjoyable to watch. The music Teacher, Mrs. Black does a Great job with these students.
Yeah, I thought the kids did a really good job.
